The Honolulu Family Festival at Magic Island will begin tomorrow, 7/30/09 at 5 p.m. and run through Sunday 8/2/09 at Ala Moana Park. According to the Honolulu Advertiser.com, “ Mayor Mufi Hannemann will officially open the festival at 5:45 p.m. tomorrow in the Entertainment Tent”

Performances will be by the Hawai’i Arts Ensemble, Royal Hawaiian Band, Nina Keali’iwahamana, Marlene Sai, Karen Keawehawai’i, Misty Kelai, Iwalani Kamahele, and fabled hula dancers Beverly Noa and Pi’ilani Smith.

Wristbands for the Honolulu Family Festival at Magic Island will be available through Ticketmaster outlets for $20 plus Ticketmaster Fees. Wristbands are good for unlimited rides during one of the following time periods only:

Thursday, July 30 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday, August 1 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, August 2 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
