Next week is the annual Hana Hoohiwahiwa O Kaiulani and Princess Kaiulani Keiki Hula Festival, hosted by the Sheraton Hotel in Honolulu which sits at the entrance of the former royal estate. This festival commemorates the birth of Princess Kaiulani, the only neice born to King David Kalakaua and will kick off with a cake cutting ceremony on October 16.
The festival will also include dance and song performances by various children’s groups and the performance Creation – A Polynesian Journey, which theatrically visits several Pacific islands.
