The Honolulu Museum of Art is hosting Hawaii’s Woodshow, an exhibition dedicated to innovative wood sculpture, now through September 14.  The museum is located in Honolulu, just thirty minutes from the Ko Olina Beach Villas and Resort.

All featured pieces are carved from real Hawaiian wood, including mango, macadamia nut, and pine woods.  In addition to showcasing local talent, the exhibition serves as a competitive forum for emerging sculptors with a strong entrance base from middle and high school students.

Admission to the exhibit is free and open to the public.  The museum is open from 10 am to 4:30 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sundays.  For more information, check out http://woodshow.hawaiiforest.org/.
