Mission Houses Museum hosts monthly talk on Hawaiian history

If you’re a history buff or just want to learn more about Hawaii’s unique story, check out Mission Houses Museum — a National Historic Landmark and non-profit educational institution and genealogical society. The Museum regularly hosts an evening lecture series focused on myths, legends, and fables.

Admission is free and takes place on the second Wednesday of every month, starting at 7 p.m. at the Kana’ina Building on Iolani Palace grounds in Honolulu.

Mission Houses Museum is known worldwide as the place where the Hawaiian written language was developed in collaboration with the ali’i. The museum preserves the oldest and second oldest documented houses in Hawaii and the largest collection of Hawaiian language books in the world.
